Sleeping in a piece of history

Some groups look for a house that's a reason to go in itself. At La Grange de Corbion, you eat in an old tobacco barn of 970 square feet. At Le Presbytère de Herbeumont, you sleep in the village's former rectory. At Maison de Vianden, you can see the castle from the terrace.

You'll find houses like these mainly in two destinations. In the Semois Valley the barns where tobacco was once dried are still standing. In La Roche-en-Ardenne you look out over the castle ruins from Villa Le Cielle.

What you need

What to look for in a special building

An old building has character and sometimes limitations. Where the stairs are steep, you'll read under each house in what's not included. How warm the big rooms get in winter, Ingrid will check for you.

  • Steep stairs or low beams, so you know ahead of time
  • How the big room is heated when it's cold outside
  • Where you can park if the house is in the middle of a village
  • What there is to tell about the history of the building

What we take off your hands

Tell us what draws you to a special place. Ingrid will then send you the houses with a building that fits. She'll check with the owner on what there is to tell about the history.

How do I know which house suits our group?

Don't just look at the maximum number of guests. The number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas, plus the layout of the house, are at least as important.

A group of twenty friends, for example, may want something very different from a family with kids and grandparents.

Not sure? Let us know what your group looks like. We're happy to help you make a good choice.

What is there to do in the Ardennes?

A lot. And that's exactly why we're so excited about this region.

Think hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, climbing, visiting caves, discovering castles, exploring charming towns, or simply enjoying time together around the house.

The options vary by region and season.

Can I ask you for advice?

We'd love that.

Tell us, for example, how many people are coming, what ages are in the group, when you want to leave, what region you're coming from, which amenities matter most, and roughly what you want to spend.

Then we'll help you think through which accommodations suit your group. You really don't have to compare dozens of homes yourself.
