Right in the woods
At these houses, the forest starts at the driveway or just past the garden. You walk out the door and you're among the trees.

Sound familiar?
The woods as your backyard
A group that wants to head into the woods doesn't have to get in the car first at these houses. You step onto the trail at the driveway or behind the barn. Kids play among the trees, with no road in between.
You'll find forest mainly in two destinations. Around Saint-Hubert in Luxembourg you can drive for miles through unbroken forest. In Mullerthal you can walk from Hof Berdorf straight onto the Mullerthal Trail.

What you need
What to look for in a wooded destination
In the woods it gets dark early and stays wet for a long time after rain. Ask Ingrid what the driveway looks like after a rainy week and whether there's outdoor lighting. She'll check with the owner.
- A driveway that's easy to drive even after a rainy week
- Outdoor lighting from the parking area to the front door
- A drying room for boots and jackets that come in wet from the woods
- A trail that starts at the house, so the group doesn't have to drive
What we take off your hands
Tell us whether you want to hike or mostly find some peace and quiet. Ingrid will then send you the houses where the forest borders the garden. She'll check with the owner on what the access road is like.
How do I know which house suits our group?
Don't just look at the maximum number of guests. The number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas, plus the layout of the house, are at least as important.
A group of twenty friends, for example, may want something very different from a family with kids and grandparents.
Not sure? Let us know what your group looks like. We're happy to help you make a good choice.
What is there to do in the Ardennes?
A lot. And that's exactly why we're so excited about this region.
Think hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, climbing, visiting caves, discovering castles, exploring charming towns, or simply enjoying time together around the house.
The options vary by region and season.
Can I ask you for advice?
We'd love that.
Tell us, for example, how many people are coming, what ages are in the group, when you want to leave, what region you're coming from, which amenities matter most, and roughly what you want to spend.
Then we'll help you think through which accommodations suit your group. You really don't have to compare dozens of homes yourself.
