Where this comes from
We know groups, not just houses
Groepen.nl started 35 years ago, in a market that looked very different. Groups traveled by bus, listings lived in a binder, and booking meant picking up the phone. Almost everything has changed since then, except the question itself. There's always someone who organizes it all and wants to be sure it checks out before presenting it.
The big platforms know accommodations. They know prices, availability, and bed counts. What they don't tell you is who does the cooking, who needs a moment to themselves, and why a sports club of twenty needs something different than a family of twenty. Groots in Ardennen is the first place where that knowledge is actually written down.
Why the Ardennes
Close to three countries
For the Netherlands, Flanders, and Germany, the Ardennes are the closest destination that can host a group of forty. Still, it's hard to find a house there that's truly set up for a group. That's why we bring those houses together in one place. From Utrecht it's a three hour twenty drive, from Antwerp two and a half hours.
Our rule
We'll also tell you when a house isn't a fit
Not every house suits every group. A house with nine bedrooms and one bathroom is often too tight for a group of thirty, and a care group usually needs a bedroom on the ground floor. We list limitations like these with the house, so you know what to expect up front. Not sure? We're happy to think it through with you.
