Train, eat, sleep, repeat

A sports group of twenty uses a house differently than a family of twenty. Breakfast is early, wet clothes are drying, and there has to be somewhere for a bag of gear that isn't in the way. Your day has a schedule, and the house has to follow that schedule rather than the other way around. After training the whole team is in the shower at once, and in the evening everyone sits at one table. A drying room for wet clothes is no luxury then.

As a sports group, you'll do best in two destinations. In Liège the municipality rents out three artificial turf fields by the hour, which you won't find in the rest of the Ardennes. In the High Fens you can walk straight onto the upland bog, with loops of 4 to 12 kilometers from the door.

What you need

What a sports group needs

The two things that go wrong most often are hot water and drying. Twenty people showering at once after a training session will drain any boiler, and wet clothes with nowhere to go stay wet all week.

  • Enough hot water for twenty showers back to back, two boilers or more
  • A drying room or utility room where wet clothes dry overnight
  • A storage room for gear, separate from the bedrooms and the living room
  • A dining table where the whole team sits at once, because mealtime is team time

What we take off your hands

A sports group asks more of a house, like enough showers for the whole team and room for bags and gear. We take that into account when selecting homes, and we know which destinations have sports fields and routes nearby. If you're coming by bus, let us know when you book. You'll get one overview with all costs up front.

Can clubs, schools, or other groups book?

That's possible too, depending on the accommodation.

Because every group has different requirements, we recommend that larger clubs, schools, and organized groups contact us beforehand.

Is there outdoor space?

Plenty of group houses in the Ardennes come with wonderful outdoor space. Think of a big yard, a terrace, a playing field, or views over the hills and forests.

You can see exactly which outdoor amenities are available on each accommodation's page.

Can we come by tour bus?

At some accommodations, a tour bus can get right up to or close to the house. Other houses are on a narrower or steeper road, for example.

Coming by tour bus? Let us know in advance. Then we can check whether the accommodation is easy to reach for a bus.
